Finding God

The old gods are increasingly becoming cult. The crystalized definition of God, at least a millennium old, in all the old religions need to be redefined.

When I looked at all the old civilizations, its downfall seem to have coincided with the time when their belief system fails to define series of bad events, most likely caused by disease, famine etc.

I will be repeating conclusions from historians but for a group of people to work together they must have a strong shared imagined reality. They must have same sense of unity when they are describing how the world works. (For example Moon god Khons is looking after us, if there is famine we have to make that God happy)

Even though religion exists today as a strong catalyst influencing politics, that shared reality right now is scientific methodology. People believe in science. They believe in it’s method.

Is that core shaking? When people are questioning research findings like effectiveness of mask for pandemic control, it seems like an indication of us heading towards a world of confusion. There is no shared, preferred way of solving problem which is crippling everyone.

This may or may not be a turning point in the history but opens up a possibility that we need new science, a new God, a new shared trust.
